Minister Avcı: “Well participated festivities will continue”

Minister of National  Education Nabi Avcı participated in the award and closing ceremony of 2nd Turkish World Science Olympics.

2nd Turkish World Science Olympics organized in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education, Turkish World Foundation and the Eskişehir Governor’s Office ended with a ceremony participated by the Minister Avcı. 

Minister Avcı during his speech at the closing ceremony held at the Atatürk Sports Stadium thanked all students, teachers and foreign guests and stated, “Friendships that would last for many years were established during the Olympics. Like Yunus Emre once said, ‘We have arrived and became acquaintances and made things easier, with the permission of Allah.’ I want to thank all the people who have contributed to the organization of this festivity. With Allah’s permission, our well participated festivities will continue next year and many more years to come.” 

Following the speech of Minister Avcı, students who were awarded in the “Design and Invention” category of 2nd Turkish World Science Olympics were announced. 

Moldavian student Valeri Kapsaman won the first prize in the Design category with his project entitled, “Union Prayer Home”, second prize in the same category went to Ömer Dursun with his project entitled, “Ropewalker Prayer Rug.”

Halil Efe Öztürk won the first prize in the Invention category with his project entitled, “Vault that Prevents Lock Out,” second prize went to Çağan Ünver with his project entitled, “Safe Window” and third prize went to Alper Akkan with his project, “Passcode Program with 4n.”

Minister Avcı presented the awards of prize winners and then visited the stands.
